Thank you First Congregational Church of Stamford for adopting Pacific House on December 24, 2014 as part of our Adopt-a-Day program that ensures the men will have a safe place to stay and nutritious meals. The shelter had its beginnings in the basement of this church and we thank them for their continued support.
Thursday, November 27 is when our turkey-trotting friends will gear up for another fun fundraising day to support the meals program at the shelter!
All proceeds go directly to the meals program so you know your donation will have a positive impact.
Thanks to employees at Shipman & Goodwin for paying- yes paying- to wear jeans to work to raise funds to buy hats, scarves, gloves and socks for Pacific House! This great idea from a Stamford law firm turned denim into doing good to keep the men warm and safe during (gasp) another potential polar vortex winter and we thank them for their generosity!
We thank our many donors, sponsors, and volunteers for their tremendous support! You are the reason we can offer so many beneficial programs and services, beyond meals and a safe haven, for the more than 500 clients who each year turn to us for help.
Peter Rugen and Gene Schreiner of First County Bank flank Peggy Lutz and Rafael Pagan, Jr. of the shelter to award a $10,000 grant for much-needed upgrades of the shelter's server and phone systems which will help us provide better service to all. Thank You.
First County Bank has been a commited supporter of the shelter for many years, and our thanks go out to all involved in their decision to help the clients at the shelter improve their situations.
