Motivational Monday: A Look Back at the 22nd Annual Pacific House Gala Success

Motivational Monday is here, and we're taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane to relive the remarkable moments of the 22nd Annual Pacific House Gala! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each one of you who attended this extraordinary event on Thursday, October 12th, at The Loading Dock in Stamford, Connecticut.

A Spectacular Night for a Worthy Cause

With the theme of 'From Roots to Roof: A Community United Against Homelessness,' this year's Gala was a resounding success. Together, we raised an incredible $340,000 to support the vital services provided by Pacific House, which include an emergency shelter, support services, and supportive housing.

The night was filled with joy and solidarity as 165 attendees enjoyed a sensational evening of dining, dancing, and learning about the Pacific House journey. The competitive spirit soared as guests vied for exciting auction prizes.

Honoring the Tate Family

During the Gala, we had the privilege of honoring the Tate family from New Canaan. Chris Tate, who recently served as the organization's Board Chairman, shared his heartfelt connection to Pacific House, which began when he was just 16 years old. He served meals at the shelter with his church youth group and has witnessed the incredible growth of Pacific House over the years. Chris Tate expressed his joy in being honored, stating, "It has been a privilege to be a part of it."

A Legacy of Transformation

For nearly four decades, Pacific House has been a beacon of hope, responding to the needs of those struggling with homelessness in communities like Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, and beyond. What started as a men's shelter in Stamford has evolved into a network of 14+ homes throughout Fairfield County, providing housing for over 140+ individuals and families.

Recognizing the Stamford Rotary Trust Fund

We also celebrated the exceptional commitment of the Stamford Rotary Trust Fund, which was honored as the 2023 Housing Champion. Their generous $1 million grant to Pacific House will fund a new 39-unit affordable housing development, complete with counselors, support services, and office space.

William Tone, Chair of the Stamford Rotary Trust Fund, expressed their excitement, saying, "We are confident this partnership will bring lasting change in the lives of countless men, women, and families."
