We believe that love and appreciation are two of the most powerful motivators

Love and appreciation are two of the most powerful motivators, especially when it comes to how people support their local communities. This Valentine's Day, we honor those whose service affects the lives of the homeless people we serve.

We work together tirelessly to support our mission of preventing and ending homelessness. We recognize everyone who helps us with contributions, both in terms of services and financial support, to ensure that those most vulnerable have access to resources like food, shelter, medical care, education, and more.

Many of the organizations in the community operate on limited budgets. Volunteers often keep us afloat – so kindness shown by strangers can make a world of difference in helping others.

Community centers like food banks offer another example of selflessness in our society. These centers have become lifelines for people struggling with poverty or homelessness by providing nutritious meals to those who would otherwise go without. Volunteers also play an essential role in ensuring that these services remain accessible. It's an invaluable act of love and appreciation toward those in need.

Valentine's Day brings an opportunity to reflect on the power of showing love and appreciation towards others – particularly those facing greater struggles than we are ourselves.

We ask that you take this Day as an opportunity to express gratitude towards those who give generously within our communities, working hard to ensure everyone has access to basic necessities, providing nutritious meals, and beyond – let's remember that every small act counts! Whether it be a donation, volunteer hours, or simply spreading awareness of the importance of giving back to society, let's make sure we recognize and appreciate those making a difference.
