Residential Services Associate (RSA/CSA)

Position Summary:
The Residential Services Associate (RSA) provides support in helping each individual meet their outcomes based on their Individual Housing Service Plan in a residential setting. RSAs work closely with individuals and communicate information regarding problems, conflicts, and service needs to Program Manager in order to provide effective care.
RSAs are responsible for day-to-day household tasks including but not limited to meal preparation, transportation, and administration of medication, general cleaning, and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum of one year related work experience. Knowledge of working with homeless individuals and families a plus. Have the ability to apply creative problem solving skills and deal with problems positively in a constantly changing environment. Communicate with a wide variety of individuals and adapt to communication needs as necessary. Apply understanding and problem solving skills to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit for long periods of time and walk on a very frequent basis. Employee will be required to provide direct service when available for individuals without staff, so the employee should be able to move with minimal limitations to accommodate a variety of individuals’ interests and activities. Computer proficient --Microsoft Word and Excel. Maintain regular work attendance, and report to work as scheduled and on time. Must meet insurance carrier’s requirements for approval to drive agency vehicles per agency policy.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain safety, security and cleanliness in facility.
• Using facility checklist, receive shift report and do walk through with staff going on duty.
• Maintain complete and accurate log, prepare additional documentation including incident reports.
• Perform “Receptionist” duties: answer phone, monitor client phone use, check keys and supplies, keep office or front desk organized, and documentation filed correctly
• Perform regular “ROUNDS” of the facility using check list.
• Assist volunteers and interns as deemed necessary including signing in, bringing in donations and/or supplies, and providing assistance with projects.
• Prepare sign-in sheets, ensuring that sign-ins are handled consistently and accurately.
• Assess medical and other emergencies, call for appropriate assistance.
• Monitor client self-administration of medication according to procedures established in the medical protocols. (If Applicable)
• Perform driving related errands for both clients and agency.
• Handle distribution of client supplies, linens, snacks, and meals.
• Assist with kitchen duties; food distribution and clean up.
• Participate in house meetings and attend trainings as assigned by Supervisor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Shifts may require some evenings/weekends.
