Pacific House President & CEO Carmen Colón served as Master of Ceremonies, joined by Chief Program Officer Silvia Narvaez and Chief Marketing Officer Elsi Lyons, who documented this significant event.

The spirit of giving was on full display at this year's Shippan Turkey Trot! Despite the rainy weather, our community came together for a meaningful Thanksgiving morning tradition that exemplifies the power of collective impact. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15), Pacific House reaffirms our commitment to creating a diverse, inclusive community where everyone has access to safe, affordable housing. We honor the rich cultural tapestry of Hispanic communities and their invaluable contributions to our society.

We are excited to share a special message from our President & CEO, Carmen I. Colón, who has been leading Pacific House for the past few months. With over 30 years of experience in providing services to the homeless population and creating permanent supportive housing, Carmen’s leadership brings a renewed focus and energy to our mission to prevent and end homelessness in Fairfield County.

Homelessness in Connecticut Continues to Rise. Connecticut's annual point-in-time count revealed a 13% increase in homelessness, with 3,410 individuals experiencing homelessness as of January 2024. This marks the third consecutive year of rising numbers.
