Celebrating a Heartwarming Thanksgiving at Pacific House: Our Community's Impact

As we reflect on this past Thanksgiving weekend, filled with immense gratitude for the overwhelming support and kindness shown by our community, we also want to remind you that today is Giving Day - a day dedicated to generosity and giving back. Here's a glimpse into the heartwarming events that truly made a difference at Pacific House, and how you can continue to support our mission on this special day.

🍁 Gratitude in Action with Mike Vranos and Family 🍁

This Thanksgiving, we were blessed with the presence of Mike Vranos and his family, who shared their warmth and care with our clients. Mike, alongside his children Sophia, Nick, and William, and his girlfriend Evelyn, served meals at our shelter, brightening the day for everyone. Their dedication to serving others is a beautiful testament to the spirit of community and compassion. A special thank you to Mike and his family for their continued support and generosity.

Meal-a-Month-Program

Pacific House provides breakfast and dinner for about 60 to 80 men daily - with this number rising to about 90 to 110 individuals during the winter months. The cost of this service is almost $250,000 annually. To help the shelter offset what would be an approximate $250,000 cost, churches, businesses, community organizations and families from all over Lower Fairfield County volunteer one day of each month to prepare and serve dinner at the shelter.

Please contact George Keels, Shelter Program Manager, Mobile Phone 914-299-2492 / gkeels@pacifichouse.org to join our Meal-a-Month Program.

Shippan Turkey Trot: A Chilly but Cheerful Success

Despite the cold weather, the Shippan Turkey Trot was a joyful and well-attended event. Congratulations to Tim McMullen, this year's race winner and a long-time supporter of Pacific House. We're deeply thankful for the Malloy family (and Hynes family before them), whose unwavering commitment to this event keeps the spirit of giving alive. We also acknowledge Janet McMullen and her class at East School in New Canaan for their heartfelt contributions. Missed the Turkey Trot but still wish to support our Meals Program? Please consider donating at Shippan Turkey Trot Donation Link.

Runners Tim McMullen, his long distance running partner, Max Fanwick, and Lily Fanwick.
