Pacific House Leaders Join Key Legislative Roundtable On Preventing Homelessness
Dear Friends of Pacific House,
This morning, our leadership team participated in an important roundtable discussion with Fairfield County legislators focused on preventing homelessness. Pacific House President & CEO Carmen Colón served as Master of Ceremonies, joined by Chief Program Officer Silvia Narvaez and Chief Marketing Officer Elsi Lyons, who documented this significant event.
Co-hosted by the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness and Opening Doors Fairfield County, this gathering brought together key stakeholders to discuss policy priorities ahead of the 2025 Legislative Session. The event provided a valuable opportunity for residents, homelessness service providers, and state agency partners to engage directly with their representatives about critical housing issues in our community.
The timing of this discussion coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Connecticut Coordinated Access Networks (CT CANs), which has been instrumental in streamlining access to housing resources for individuals and families experiencing homelessness across Connecticut. Their data-driven approach continues to help communities make more informed decisions about resource allocation and service delivery.
We were proud to be part of this meaningful dialogue alongside other community leaders and organizations committed to ending homelessness in our region. The morning's discussions emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between legislators and service providers in addressing housing challenges in Fairfield County.
Stay tuned for more detailed updates and insights from this important legislative roundtable. We look forward to sharing photos and video footage that capture the productive discussions and commitments made at today's event.
Thank you for your continued support of Pacific House and our mission to prevent and end homelessness.
