Last December, our team undertook an extraordinary mission to infuse holiday cheer among our residents, a testament to our dedication not just to provide shelter, but to foster a profound sense of belonging and compassion within our community.
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor who contributed $10,000, specifically to spread holiday cheer amongst our clients, we were able to bring the donors vision of a festive celebration to life for everyone at Pacific House. This remarkable gift enabled us to curate thoughtful presents that catered to both essential needs and the small luxuries that make the holiday season uniquely joyful.
In the spirit of the season, we aimed to ensure every individual in our care experienced the warmth and joy of the holidays. To this end, we provided portable heat banks that double as device chargers for each of our clients, ensuring they stayed warm and connected during the colder months.
But what would the holidays be without the pleasure of festive snacks and meals? Our team exceeded expectations by preparing holiday snack gift baskets, filled with treats to delight everyone. Moreover, we served special holiday meals, offering a sense of home and togetherness to our tenants and clients.
Recognizing the importance of personal choice and independence, we also presented each client with a $50 gift card. This act of kindness was designed to empower them, allowing for personal choices in their celebrations and, more importantly, reaffirming our trust and respect for their autonomy.
Moreover, the festive spirit was not confined to individual gifts. Each of our thirteen permanent supportive affordable houses received holiday snack gift baskets, ensuring that the sense of community and shared joy was felt across all our properties.
The development team was instrumental in bringing this initiative to life, dedicating time and effort to pack and distribute the gift bags directly from our offices. This collective endeavor not only spread joy among our clients but also reinforced the essence of community and the significant impact of giving, irrespective of the season.
